I will start with a salute to Clayton which just celebrated its 60th Year as an incorporated city. It was honored and a Proclamation read at the March 5 Clayton City Council Meeting. Clayton is going through some bitter and divisive growth/anti-growth and mild political pain, but still remains one of East Bay’s most charming and friendly communities. I look forward to its Art and Wine Festival, Concerts in the Grove, bocce, and Oktoberfest every year. Salute!

Congratulations to Kori Barton. After the successful publishing of her children’s book “C is for Concord,” an alphabetical tour of Concord, she has now completed “W is for Walnut Creek.” You and your children will thoroughly enjoy reading this together. It is an extraordinarily simple way of educating them on some highlights and history of Walnut Creek — A is for Aquanauts.
Barton is on to something here. This concept should work for every city. How many cities are there in Bay Area, California, even the country? I wish her fame and fortune!

Another author from Concord, Glen Dahlgren just completed book signing events at Half Price Bookstore and Barnes and Noble for his most recent release, “Realm Gods”, the fourth an final installment of this fantasy series.

Dahlgren is the award-winning author of the acclaimed book series, the “Chronicles of Chaos,” which fantasy legend Piers Anthony says is “what fantasy fiction should be.” He is a two-time winner of the Readers’ Favorite Gold Medal for YA Epic Fantasy for both his debut novel, “Child of Chaos,” and the prequel, “Game of War.” The former also won the American Fiction Award for Fantasy and the latter also won the Dante Rossetti Award for YA Fantasy.
Barton and Dahlgren books can be found on Amazon and local bookstores.

It looks like a big thank you and congratulations are in order for organizer, Justin Crossley, and the Todos Santos Business Association for throwing another successful festival Downtown, Spring Brewfest. Judging from the photos that have been emailed, I say it was well attended and a job well done. Cheers.
