Who says that one person can’t make a difference. 20 year old XXX decided that he could create a method of collecting the waste trash in the ocean in an easy and efficient manner. Now he has the chance to put it to the test.
Boyan Slat, from the Netherlands, is taking advantage of the ocean currents to position long-distance arrays of floats that would skim garbage from the surface and yet still allow ocean life to pass through beneath the surface.
The system will be deployed in 2016. Slat plans to use a larger system to gather the trash from the garbage island floating between Hawaii and the US.

What do you think of his plans? Should governments encourage young minds like these to develop ways to help clean up the pollution?
