Ruby Dooby Do to the Rescue

Each month a hard to place dog in foster care will be featured to give them extra exposure to find their forever home.

Six-year-old Stanley is looking to be your best friend and faithful companion. He loves people and kids and would be fine as an only dog or with a mellow canine sister. Stanley is a white and gray terrier and is housebroken. This cutie-pie comes with the added bonus of a fashionable underbite. He is considered special needs due to his allergies. Stanley will need to stay on his dermatologist-prescribed routine of 1) Z/D dog food 2) Apoquel 3x a week 3) weekly baths and 4) grooming every 2 to 3 months. Every 6 months he will need to see a dermatology veterinarian (four office locations are in the Bay Area). His adoption fee is $275. Stanley has been neutered, is up-to-date on vaccinations, and has been microchipped. To meet Stanley, complete an application at Ozzies Pound Puppies is an all breed dog rescue based in Concord that rescues unwanted and abandoned dogs from the public and from shelters. Ozzies is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization funded by donations. You can help by fostering, adopting, volunteering or donating. If Stanley isn’t a good fit, perhaps Ozzies has another dog that meets your needs.

I am pleased to announce that November’s Vegas, a black lab, is “adoption pending.”

February’s pug, Bear, has also been adopted. Congratulations to these two “pawsitively special dogs.”
