Ruby Dooby Do to the Rescue – Toby

Ruby Dooby Do to the Rescue – Toby

Toby is “pawsitively special dawg” being fostered by Shake Wiggle ‘N Roll  Foundation  (SWRF) in Lafayette, CA. Toby is an apricot-colored male yorkie/poodle (?) mix that came into rescue malnourished. Because nutrition can affect dog’s teeth, his true age is hard to estimate. He’s probably  4 1/2 years old and 13-lbs. Toby has a Stage 2 heart murmur, but it doesn’t affect him and he does not require medicine.  He is neutered, microchipped, and current on shots.

Toby is a friendly little guy that loves car rides and will respect your property –  no crates for him (thank you very much!). He’s good with older children and has a positive history with small dogs and probably fine with mellow cats. Toby has been debarked – unsuccessfully – and he makes a strange pseudo-bark. He is undergoing dental work and will soon have dazzling white “smile.” His adoption fee is $300. To see if this little guy matches your lifestyle (ideally as a 2nd dog or a retired/work from homeowner), contact Maryann at 925 297-7915 or loviins@aol.com.

SWRF is a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3). Please support their rescue efforts through tax-deductible monetary donations and/or volunteering. They hold adoption events on the first Saturday of the month at Walnut Creek Pet Food Express on 1388 S. California Blvd.

Update:

Sweetie (Diablo Gazette June 2018)Thanks so much- Sweetie went home today (June 9)!  We could not have done it without you.  We so appreciate your assistance. –Jackie De Vries, NorCal Poodle Rescue, Inc.

Bentley, (Diablo Gazette, December 2017) the deaf and blind dog that received a pro bono eye operation has been adopted!  He had a rough journey but look at him now.  It doesn’t even look like the same dog!   It sure is fun seeing these pups find forever homes.  7 of the 9 featured dogs in the column have now been adopted.
