CEMEX USA announced that it is donating 101 acres of undeveloped land close to CEMEX’s Clayton Quarry to the State of California which are expected to become part of Mount Diablo State Park.
The land features beautiful chaparral and oak trees within the canyon slopes of Mount Zion and lies adjacent to Mitchell Canyon. Many wildlife species can be spotted on the land including deer, birds and protected species such as the Alameda Whipsnake.
“Clayton Quarry has been part of the fabric of the Clayton community for more than 70 years,” said CEMEX USA Regional President—California Region Francisco Rivera. “CEMEX is proud to make this contribution to the region as an extension of the State Park system for the community to enjoy.”
