July 4th Celebrations

Concord – The day will start off at 7:30 a.m. at Todos Santos Park with a Rotary Pancake breakfast. At 8:00 a.m., the Stars and Stripes Kids Fun Run begins followed at 8:30 a.m. by the Stars and Stripes 5K Run/Walk. At 10:00 AM Independence Day Parade.
At 4:00 p.m. the festival gates open also at Mt. Diablo High School. Highlights include two live bands. The 562nd Air force Band begins at 6:00 p.m., and at 7:30 p.m., The Big Jangle, a tribute band to Tom Petty takes the stage. Fireworks will begin at 9:00 p.m.

Walnut Creek– July 4th Patriotic Concert and Picnic in the Park . The best place to start off your Independence Day celebration is in Civic Park, 1375 Civic Dr. The Walnut Creek Concert Band will provide the musical inspiration for your July 4th fun. Bring your family and friends for a picnic in the park for this free event. The band kicks off the fun at 6 p.m. and goes till 9 p.m.

MARTINEZ-Fourth of July Parade and Celebration. Main Street Martinez will host the annual downtown Martinez 4th of July Parade & Celebration featuring a pancake breakfast and hometown parade along Main St. Flag raising is at 9 a.m. Parade runs 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Fireworks at 9:30 p.m. at Radke Martinez Regional Shoreline Park, Ferry St.

Pleasant Hill -4th of July Parade, Festival & Fireworks. This town’s 43rd annual parade begins at 9:30 a.m. along Crescent Dr. with festivities lasting all day at the park. All activities, games, rides and attractions are free. The park is located downtown at the corner of Cleaveland and Gregory Lane. Live music from The Rippers Band will start around 7:30 p.m. Bring a blanket for the whole family. Steel Smokin’ BBQ and other concessions will be for sale starting at 6:30 p.m. Located at Pleasant Hill Park at 147 Gregory Lane. Their fireworks display is a true crowd pleaser that continues to grow in popularity.

 Clayton – Pancakes at at 7a.m. Clayton Valley Sunrise Rotary, $7 adults and $5 kids 12 and under. The parade on Main Street starts at 10 am. Main parade application at www.cityofclayton.org .
